Season’s Greetings and a ‘Trip of a Lifetime’ song

By Andrea Zapata-Nalsen on behalf of Rob Powell

Hello, we received this morning the message below from our volunteer and supporter Rob.

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well and into the festive spirit!

I just wanted to wish all of the athletes good luck for the training week in Pila – please pass onto Jane, Wayne, Bobby, Elizabeth, Luke, Clare and Mikael that I wish them well and can’t wait to be part of the team in South Korea.

You may also know that I have wrote a song for the team called ‘Trip of a Lifetime’ which I am recording this Monday evening. I will hopefully have a finished version next week and a video to go with it. I will send you the song when it’s done but in the meantime, please see the lyrics.

It’s a little cheesy (!) but it would be fantastic if we could perform this at the Park Inn or Korean Embassy together as a team!

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas!

About Special Olympics Great Britain

We are the country’s largest provider of year-round sports training and competition programmes for children and adults with learning disabilities. We are part of the Olympic Family, so we are usually mistaken with the Paralympic Games, but we are very different. Special Olympics involves more that just a few days of games once or twice a year. In reality, both sport training and competition happens throughout the year, every year. The Paralympic Games is for elite (professional) athletes only, whereas Special Olympics is open to all people with learning disabilities.
